چکیده
Simulation of convective heat and mass transfer in systems filled with pseudoplastic fluids deals computational difficulties due to the appearance an infinite level effective viscosity as intensity deformation rates tends zero. To solve this problem, various regularization models are used by introducing a small additional term into expression for viscosity. The present research is devoted analysis widespread studying natural convection fluid closed differentially heated cavity. nature flow was described Ostwald-de Waele power law. Three were investigated, namely, simplest algebraic model, Bercovier Engleman Papanastasiou model. boundary value problem mathematical physics formulated using conservation laws mass, momentum energy, solved finite difference method. obtained results compared data other authors.

Entropy Generation of Double Diffusive Natural Convection in a Three Dimensional Differentially Heated Enclosure
Entropy generation of double diffusive natural convection in a three dimensional differentially heated enclosure has been performed numerically. Vertical walls of enclosure are heated differentially and remaining walls are adiabatic. The obtained results were presented via iso-concentration, iso-temperatures, velocity vector projection, particle trajectories, velocity profiles, iso-entropy, loc...
متن کاملNumerical Study of Electro-thermo-convection in a Differentially Heated Cavity Filled with a Dielectric Liquid Subjected to Partial Unipolar Injection
The Coulomb force applied by an electric field on any charge present in a dielectric liquid may cause fluid motion. At high applied electric fields in an insulating liquid, electric charge carriers are created at metallic/liquid interfaces, a process referred to as ion injection, and result from electrochemical reactions. In this article we deals with the problem of electro thermal convection i...
متن کاملNatural convection in a shallow cavity with differentially heated end walls. Part 1. Asymptotic theory
The problem of natural convection in a cavity of small aspect ratio with differentially heated end walls is considered. It is shown by use of matched asymptotic expansions that the flow consists of two distinct regimes : a parallel flow in the core region and a second, non-parallel flow near the ends of the cavity. A solution valid at all orders in the aspect ratio A is found for the core regio...
متن کاملNatural convection in a shallow cavity with differentially heated end walls. Part 2. Numerical solutions
Numerical solutions of the full Navier-Stokes equations are obtained for the problem of natural convection in closed cavities of small aspect ratio with differentially heated end walls. These solutions cover the parameter range Pr = 6.983, 10 6 Gr d 2 x lo4 and 0.05 4 A d 1. A comparison with the asymptotic theory of part 1 shows excellent agreement between the analytical and numerical solution...
متن کاملTransient Natural Convection in a Differentially Heated Cavity with a Thin Fin of Different Lengths on a Sidewall
Direct numerical simulations of unsteady natural convection in a differentially heated cavity with a thin fin of different lengths on a sidewall at the Raleigh number of 3.8 × 10 are performed. It is found that the fin length significantly impacts on the transient thermal flow around the fin and heat transfer through the finned sidewall in the early stage of the transient flow development. The ...
